PUNTA GALLINAS
Punta Gallinas is a headland and it is also the most north point of the South American mainland. It is located about 150 kilometres northeast from Riohacha. Here you can find amazing dunes, beaches and natural sights. It is one of those remote yet unbelievably beautiful places that are worth visiting. The sunsets in Punta Gallinas are one of the most beautiful ones in the whole world.
This is a perfect trip for those who are interested seeing the traditional lifestyle of the native Wayuu people. You'll be sleeping on a comfortable hammock

CABO DE LA VELA
Cabo de la Vela is one of the most beautiful sites in the whole country, if not in the whole continent of South America. Here you can find endless beaches and mesmerising untouched nature. Cabo de la Vela is around three hours ride away from Riohacha. This is a great place to kitesurf or windsurf.
Flamingo Watching
This tour lets you gaze those beautiful pink birds in their natural environment. The tour will bring you to a natural sanctuary of flora and fauna of flamingos which is only 15-minute ride away from Riohacha. There you can see the birds looking for food to catch from the Camarones river.
Mayapo beaches Only a 30-minute drive away from Riohacha lays the beaches of Mayapo. These beaches are well-known for their strong winds that make kitesurfing and windsurfing very nice there.
